psychodynamic therapy.

You can read more about my therapeutic framework here. I have also written in more detail about how psychodynamic therapy works here.

Psychodynamic therapy is typically a longer-term treatment, but can also be useful to those only seeking short-term support. I generally see patients on at least a weekly basis - it is also not uncommon to meet several times a week if this is suitable and feasible.

fees.

My current fee for psychotherapy is $260 for a 50-minute appointment.

medicare.

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of at least $141.85 (as of 1 July 2023) for ten sessions per calendar year, subject to receiving a referral from your GP and seeking an additional review after six sessions. funding and insurance.

I am a registered provider with most major private health funds. You will need to talk to your health fund to confirm whether you are eligible for claims on psychotherapy sessions. I am happy to provide receipts for you to claim sessions with your insurance.

I do not provide services under other third-party providers such as Work Cover and the Department of Veteran Affairs.

But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do—
determined to save
the only life you could save.
